Mark W. Love, Pastor
Mark W. Love, Pastor, has been with Colchester Bible Baptist Church since July 2006. Prior to coming to Colchester, he served as an assistant pastor at Hillsdale Baptist Church in Tampa, Florida and was the director at Camp CoBeAc, in Prudenville, Michigan for twenty-two years. Before that he was a youth pastor at Inter-City Baptist Church in Allen Park, Michigan and taught Bible in the Christian School. Pastor Love received a BA from Maranatha Baptist University in 1977 and a MA in 1979 from Bob Jones University. He furthered his training taking courses from Temple Theological Seminary and Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary.
Pastor Love and his wife, Brenda, were married on May 28th, 1983, and have four children: Aaron, a graduate of MBU, is currently serving the Lord as an assistant pastor at First Baptist Church of Sterling Heights with his wife Liz and their three children. Ashley, a graduate of BJU, is currently serving the Lord in Richmond, VA. Andrea, a graduate of MBU, serves the Lord in Myrtle Beach, SC with her husband Ethan and their four children. Adam, a graduate of MBU, is currently teaching at Calvary Christian School in Myrtle Beach, SC with his wife Tori. Brenda holds a Bachelor of Science degree from MBU in Bible and Education, with minors in Music and English. She currently works from home as an educational consultant.
Pastor Love’s desire is to see changed lives through the power of expositional preaching of God’s Word. Pastor and Brenda are committed to serving families so they might be more like Jesus Christ.
